auditions.
auditions.
before i launch into my ramblings i shall just say one thing - dance is THE love. hence the fact that the only two ccas i signed up for were street dance and modern dance xDstreet auditions were awesome. unlike the nightmare i was fretting it would turn out to be last night. until conan said "you'll be fine don't worry! i have the utmost confidence in your abilities," and my nerves settled somewhat. whee~the steps were pretty easy to catch and the music was one of those songs with fast catchy bass beats, and i had so much funnn ahaha i love street already. i probably screwed the improvisation bit; ended up ignoring just about every step i was killing myself over last night, but the fun in freestyle is coming up with things to suit the flow of the music on the spot so whatever (x and i know i missed a few steps in the pre-audition practice they gave us [it was one dry run before they started the assessment], but thankfully during the round that actually counted i didn't miss anything(: at the end the seniors were asking if any of us could do bonus stuff [i quote: 'anyone particularly good at body waves or smth?'] and since i was telling chele earlier on that the only leverage i may have over some people is that i am more flexible, so i just decided to ask if that would fit the bill of being a 'bonus' thing. which i am happy to say that it did. apparently not that many people can put their hands on the floor when they bend down xD oh and they called me back just as i was about to leave to ask me if i could split. to which i replied that i probably couldn't, but i could try. and i came to the realisation today that i can -almost- split. wheeee!oh yes i shall say thankyou to conan and mel and kenneth for dropping by to wish me luck for dance auds - that was really nice of you guys! [and i daresay i was the only one/one of the few people who actually had their awesome friends coming to wish them luck] :Dpity mod dance was rather... catastrophic. because they went too fast/had so much ballet technique involved that i seriously don't think i have much chance of getting in whatsoever. but oh well; if i have street that's more than enough!i honestly have no idea if i'll get in, but i think i have a fairly good chance of that. so i shall hope, and i shall pray! -crosses fingers- (:because to quote conan,
